Moles could be beauty marks. Many people consider moles a mark of character, but some have different opinions of moles. Some find it hideous and gross, some moles that grow big could also be detrimental to the health or the body and should be removed from the body. An effective way of removing moles from the body is through Laser Mole Removal which, as the name says, uses laser technology to totally eliminate the appearance of moles in the body.

As said before, moles are usually harmless. These moles or nevi are simply groups or clusters of skin that are pigmented. They are varied in size color and shape. They appear on different parts of the body which are commonly the face, arm, legs, torso or anywhere. Some cases of moles could become dangerous or precancerous and would need to be surgically removed from the body.  However, most people utilize the laser mole removal system to remove the moles from the body due to purely cosmetic reasons.

How does mole laser removal work? Are there other ways of mole removal?

Mole removal could be done in various ways. Laser mole removal is only one of them.  Most of the cases for mole laser removal are for purely cosmetic reasons but there are some that do it for their health. In these cases, the mole has developed into melanoma and therefore it is crucial that the mole should be removed for precautionary measures.  For those patients with moles that have developed into cancerous moles, the only option for them is surgical mole removal.

Surgical mole removal involves shave excision, punch biopsy (or punching a hole in your skin) and excisional surgery. The first involves moles which are raised above the skin’s surface. In the shave excision method,  the doctor will remove the surface of the mole and shave down it’s surface so that it can be flushed with the remaining healthy skin.

With the second technique, the smaller skin moles that are raised above the skin are punched out of the skin using a cylindrical device that gets a cylindrical shaped piece of the skin much like a cookie cutter cuts out shapes.

The final choice of surgical mole removal is to excise it. Meaning you simply get it out and cut it out of the skin and stitch the skin back together again.

Other methods of mole removal are laser mole removal  or the use of natural creams.  With laser mole removal, the mole is heated and burned with the laser to prevent it from reoccurring. Laser They are the best method for the moles which appear flat and brown (dark or light) or black in color. The full removal of these moles usually needs several trips to the doctor to complete the treatment. These are not recommended for moles that protrude above the skin.
