Laser Lipo
Laser lipo treatment requires much smaller incisions than other liposuction techniques.
During the procedure, your doctor will insert a very small cannula into the fatty tissues. This cannula is extremely small when compared to the knife used in plastic surgery (it is basically the size of a thick string or thing noodle). Because this tube is so small, the doctor does not need to make any major incisions into your skin, thus reducing swelling and scarring from the incision. This also allows your body to heal itself without the need of sutures (i.e. stitches).
Laser Body Sculpting does not require you to be put to sleep during the procedure.
In fact, laser sculpt only require local anesthetic, which reduces greatly the risks associated with general anesthetics. This also makes it easier on you when you come out of surgery, as you do not need to ‘wake up’ from the anesthetics.
Laser lipo is much more precise in the areas of fat that are targeted.
Because your doctor has the precision of a very small laser, he or she will be able to target the exact area of fatty tissue that you would like removed. This is a huge advantage, as other types of tissue will not be as effected as they would be with plastic surgery. In addition, your doctor will inject a fluid (diluted epinephrine) into the area as well, thus helping your blood vessels to constrict and making it so you loose less blood than you otherwise would with traditional methods.
The Cost of Laser Lipo is much less than plastic surgery.
Most estimates suggest that the laser lipo cost will be approximately 30% less than plastic surgery or other traditional methods of fat removal. Such benefits you would generally only expect to see on inferior technologies, but this is not the case with laser body shaping technology (which you can see from the previous points above).
As you can tell, there are many advantages of laser lipo surgery. However, before you decide if this procedure is right for you, be sure to consult with your doctor and make sure that you are a good candidate, as certain people will not be.
